Denver - Park Hill Living
The Denver Zoo project began with a special gift to the mayor of Denver: a black bear named Billy Bryan. From that day, the Zoo has grown into one of the most popular zoos in the United States with 4,000 animals representing over 700 species. The zoo’s 15-20 year master plan aims to transform the grounds into an exciting conservation center that will “continue to further the evolution of superb zoo exhibitory.” Animals that can be found inside include exotic species such as the amur leopard, king cobras, black rhinos, coral reef fish, elephants, zebras, vampire bats and gorillas. Visitors can gaze at newly added exhibits like Predator Ridge, Tropical Discovery, Primate Panorama, and the Dragons of Komodo exhibit.

The Denver Museum of Nature and Science has become the Rocky Mountain region’s leading resource for informal science education. With various exhibitions, programs and activities, Museum visitors can experience the natural wonders of Colorado, Earth and our universe. The mission of the Denver Museum of Nature & Science is “to promote the study, understanding and enjoyment of the universe, nature, science and human cultures” with expertise in six main areas including: anthropology, geology, health science, paleontology, space science and zoology.
